Friday December 15th

Last day of Clay Santa Handprint Week, 12pm at The Painted Turtle located at 277 Welland Avenue in St.Catharines. They will take your child’s hand print into clay and when it is ready one of their team artists will custom paint it for you and turn your child’s hand into Santa. $18. Walk-ins welcome. Ornaments will be ready for pickup December 23rd.

Kids Night Out – Drop N Shop, 6:30pm at The Painted Turtle. You can drop your kids off, they will make some art while you do your holiday shopping. $25 and there is a $15 deposit per child when booking.

The Wind in the Willows, 7:30pm at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre located at 250 St.Paul Street. Presented by the Yellow Door Theatre Project. Tickets are $31.48 plus tax. Amiable Mole, his hearty friend Water Rat, genial Badger and irresponsible Mr.Toad. Enjoy their memorable and hilarious adventures. The last performance is Sunday December 17th at 5:00pm.

Design & Wine, 7 to 9:30pm at Ceramics & More Studio located at 52 Hellems Avenue in Welland. You will be doing a painting on an  11 x 14 canvas for $25.00 all inclusive. Enjoy a fun evening creating and socializing with friends. Snacks, pop, water will be supplied feel free to bring your own wine.. No experience necessary, we will guide you step by step. Saturday December 16th

Christmas at the Market, 9 to 11am at the Welland Farmers Market located at 50 Market Square in Welland. There will be holiday crafts, free face painting, a visit from Santa, colouring and winter activities and Christmas carolers. Shop for handmade gifts.

Rudolphs Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Event, 10am to 5pm at the Armenian Community Centre located at 156 Martindale Road in St.Catharines. Free Parking and in lieu of admission please bring a non perishable food item for Community Care.

Winter Solstice Mystic Wellness Bazaar, 11am to 6pm at the Merritton Community Centre located at 7 Park Avenue in St.Catharines. Admission is $5.00 per person. There are 100 Swag Bags, a penny sale, free parking and food available.

Saturday Blues, 3 to 7pm at Monty’s Gastropub located at 547 Ontario Street in St.Catharines. The musical guest is Joel Johnson.

Reindeer Games Holiday Party, 6 to 9pm at All Star Athletics located at 4290 Bartlett Road in Beamsville. An opportunity for moms and dads to enjoy a night out, shopping or wrapping. A Swingin’ Christmas, 7 to 9pm at St.Mark’s Church located at 41 Byron Street in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year big band style. A genuine time capsule that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.  

Big Band Christmas, 7:30pm at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre located at 250 St.Paul Street in St.Catharines. Celebrate the season with festive carols, audience sing alongs and seasonal music.

Sunday December 17th

St.Catharines Factory Outlet Flea Market, 9am to 5pm at 46 Turner Crescent in St.Catharines. Over 250 booths and 125 vendors.

Gingerbread House Contest, 11am to 1pm at Royal Canadian Legion located at 141 Highway East in Fonthill. The contest is free and open to everyone 18 and under. Bring your pre built gingerbread house and enjoy an afternoon of crafts and a visit from santa and the gingerbread man. There are cash prizes in each category you can pre register by calling 905 892 6293

Free Kids’ Christmas Craft Workshop, 1 to 3pm at the Fairview Mall Food Court in St.Catharines.  

The Breanne Rourke Voice Studio Annual Christmas Recital, 1 to 2pm at the Wesley Church located at 244 1st Avenue North in Welland.

Monday December 18th & Tuesday December 19th

There isn’t much going on, spend some time with family and friends, do some shopping or wrapping.

Wednesday December 20th

Mindfulness Workshop, 11:15am to 12:15pm at the McMaster Family Health Team located at 555 Prince Charles Drive North in Welland. Mindfulness promotes a state of being “present” in the moment with awareness and attention, learning to respond to situations and stressors rather than simply reacting. Mindfulness practice promotes many health and wellness benefits.

Tropical Paint Party, 6:30 to 8:30pm at Mokus of Fonthill located at 1440 Pelham Street in Fonthill. It’s $25 all supplies included.

Thursday December 21st

Tot Time with Kristina, 10am at the Port Colborne Public Library. For ages 2 to 5. Circle time,play based learning and stories. Cost is $1.00. Call the Library to pre register.

Roof4Ghana in partnership with We Felt That. Two local women have started building a library in Ghana 14 months ago. In that short amount of time they have raised over $12,000 by selling bracelets and other handmade items throughout Niagara.
