“Canadian made cosmetics, supporting First Nations education.”
I first heard about Cheekbone Beauty at the 2017 GNCC Women in Business Awards. A woman sitting at my table had seen a blog I had written about why people use cruelty free products and suggested I give them a try. To my surprise the owner of the company, Jenn Harper, was nominated for the STEM Award that day and won. Her speech was inspiring and hearing the backstory of her company I knew I had to learn more.
I was so excited the day my Cheekbone Lipgloss showed up in my mailbox. They came wrapped in the cutest polka dot tissue paper, a postcard about Cheekbone Beauty, a personalized thank you card and my favourite of all (besides the lipgloss itself) a pink feather. The Cheekbone Beauty meaning of a pink feather is love and gratitude which I thought was amazingly sweet.
I have to admit, I am normally a bold lip kind of gal and switch it up between red, dark red or dark pink. I was having a hard time finding the perfect nude to say the least. Then along comes Sweetgrass. It is my official daytime go to. One of my favourite things about this lipgloss is that it doesn’t make my lips feel sticky, it feels like they are being hydrated or conditioned throughout the day. as it is enriched with Vitamin E. It is smooth to apply, is long lasting and relatively light weight. It’s easy to re apply and the wand is a fantastic, efficient, precise tool. Their products are made in Canada, are not tested on animals, safe for sensitive skin and are paraben free. This product comes in 5 other shades named Fire, Pink Moon, Sundance, Sunset and Wild Berry. Cheekbone Lipgloss can be purchased on their website for $24.00.
